Pihlgren & Ritola's Artist Wallpaper Collection is a unique assembly that honors Finnish design heritage, including popular bird wallpapers, floral wallpapers, and other beloved patterns created by renowned Finnish designers. Birger Kaipiainen, Rut Bryk, Lisa Johansson-Pape, Annikki and Ilmari Tapiovaara, and Ritva Kronlund are just some of the names whose works are featured in this collection. Most of the patterns arose from a design competition held in 1958, which laid the foundation for the admired Finnish wallpaper art of today.
