Table for Helsinki - made by Julia Bäck / Work in progress 2/3
Julia Bäck enjoyed drawing the Helsinki poster with many different buildings. It was difficult to choose which buildings would fit on the poster. See Julia's pictures of the work process.
Helsinki has been quite convenient to draw since the selection of images is so large, both from the ground and the air. The selection of motifs for the painting was also large. A bit too large. It wasn't the exclusion method among the "maybe" pictures. It was to choose from the "must!" pictures. Seven nuggets were filtered out.
It is a living project until the paintings are printed. I am amazed at how I always, without exception so far, change the appearance regardless of how much I have sketched and planned. When I worked on the layout for this painting, Aveo had to point out and give feedback to ease my decision anxiety. But at the time of writing, I can't even guarantee that this is how the Helsinki painting will look. Probably not haha.
