Spring is here - we're moving out to the balcony and terrace

When spring arrives, the interest in decorating outdoors on balconies and terraces increases. We all need fresh air, especially in these times when our outdoor spaces feel like an oasis where we can forget about all the viruses for a while.

Våren är här - vi flyttar ut på balkong och terrass

Here are some interior decoration tips for balconies and terraces. Some of the items can withstand being outdoors in all weather, while others are better suited for enclosed balconies or need to be brought in at night and protected from rain and wind.

Balcony boxes come in many different formats. Here, Bau Balcony Box from Ferm Living. It is stylish and sleek and is easy to mount on the balcony railing. A plus is that it has built-in drainage.

The beloved plant box now comes in many different forms, here are the spring's novelties Plant Box Large and Plant Box Two-Tier, both from Ferm Living. They are perfect as flower tables or extra storage space both outdoors and indoors.

If you have limited space, a flower box may take up too much room. In that case, there are flower pots in different styles and formats.

Bau also comes as a small and large pot. They come in many different colors that can be nicely combined.

Hourglass Pot from Ferm Living is a sleek and lovely pot that comes in four different sizes. It can be turned both ways, so there's room for both larger and smaller plants.

Hanging flower pots add height to the decor, both on the balcony and in the living room window or by the wall. Here, from left, Bloomingville's Hanging Flowerpot and Hanging Flowerpot Multi and to the right Hanging Deco Pot from Ferm Living.

It's also refreshing with a new vase for the spring. Most are best suited indoors, but on an enclosed balcony, in a cozy greenhouse, in a room with walls, or in a gazebo, they also work well.

Muses from Ferm Living come as a whole series, from left Talia, Calli, ClioEra and Ania. These vases are decorative on their own or grouped together, even without flowers.

It's not just flowers and plants that are needed to make a balcony or an outdoor room feel inviting.

It's still chilly outside even though the sun is warm, so it can be nice to wrap a warm blanket around yourself. Here is Bloomingville's Red Throw

Some other comfy throws are Bloomingville's Throw and Nature Throw, Ferm Living's Enfold, and Majvillan's cotton throws for children which come in many different colors.

We conclude with a few items that can be useful or add coziness both outdoors and indoors.
