Förmaket wallpaper

Gysinge's wallpaper Förmaket has a classic floral and checkered pattern. The wallpaper was initially believed to date back to the 18th century, as the pattern was popular at that time. However, it was later realized that it came from a paper roll and was printed on cellulose paper, allowing the wallpaper to be dated to the 1860s.

The diagonal pattern with flowers evokes Rococo and is one of the favorite patterns in the art of wallpaper printing over time. Gysinge's wallpaper has preserved the uneven, artisanal impression.
