Sokeva

Sokeva started as a handicraft project for visually impaired people where they made brushes and rattan chairs. The products had a good reputation in Finland, and the business grew. The products began to be used by construction professionals as well. Then, they started thinking about how to raise more money for the Association of the Visually Impaired. In 1997, Sokeva was divided into two companies: one focusing on handicrafts for the visually impaired and the other on industrial manufacturing and sales.

Today, Sokeva is an expert in surfaces. Here, brushes and other tools needed for sanding, painting, varnishing, wallpapering, and so on are manufactured. Sokeva is wholly owned by the Association of the Visually Impaired, and a part of the profit is used to improve the quality of life for the visually impaired.

A large part of the products is key marked. They are mostly manufactured in Europe, not only in Finland but also in Germany, Italy, and Sweden.
